since I focused one individuals involved actively in music I thought it would be fitting to do my observation of a music venue in Pittsburgh on Saturday night.
this like most music venues was poorly lit with the exception of the stage and decorations. dark black/black blue walls.
the bands playing were from more of a hard rock to metal style bands so the decorations were according.
decorations in the past in this place most always is effected by the genre of bands playing that night.
there was a large floor area in front of the stage. off to the one side was the bar. in the back there was a station set up with merchandise for sale from each of the performing bands, this area split into a T where there was a long stream of people constantly going in and out to a designated smoking section.
in the early parts of the night (up until / during first bands show) people filled the room going mostly directly to the bar and or merchandise stand.
then I'm not sure if they closed down or not but I didn't notice anyone going and buying any merchandise during any of the later shows.
threw out the night the scene stayed pretty much the same people dancing and fighting on the floor. a fairly steady stream of people to the bar and smoke areas
and then after the show a flood of people to the merchandise stands.
I suppose that this doesn't really reflect the musicians them selves but the individuals impacted most by pop culture.
showed that people like to enjoy them selves. party to live music. fight, drink and smoke.
(please drink responsibly 21+)
